Double Side-Striped Nail Art

Using Barry M in Cobalt Blue and Models Own nail art pen in black.

A few weeks ago I tried some Side-Striped Nail Art and said I’d like to try it with stripes on both sides, so here it is! Get me, doing something I set out to do. I forgot to take the photo before I put on the top coat, which is why it’s so annoyingly shiny in the image above, sorry.

Film Strip Nail Art

image

Using Models Own in Grey Day, Jessica in Starlight Starbright and Models Own nail art pen in silver.

My first nail art in a while. Actually, I tell a lie; I tried a new design last week and it was a bit rubbish so I didn’t put it up. That was a great story. Anyway, a film strip design this week. As we know from previous designs, I am a fan of the grey nail varnishes; other colours are available…

Flame Nail Art

image

Using Jessica in Starlight Starbright, Rimmel in Double Decker Red and Models Own nail art pen in yellow.

I’ve been reading The Hunger Games recently and so wanted to try some flame nail art. It looks better in real life, I think; it’s a little bright and shiny in the picture but it’s more grungy and dramatic in reality.

Side-Striped Nail Art

Another simple design this week, and one I’ll definitely be doing again. I think this would look good with stripes on both sides as well.

Simple Spotty Nail Art

Been a while since my last post, due to an intense period of busyness. Nice and simple spotty nail art this week, based vaguely on this HelloGiggles article. Theres is much better, of course.

Piano Nail Art

Using Models Own in Grey Day and Snow White, and Models Own nail art pen in black.

For my first nail art in a while I’ve gone with a piano keys design. A little time-consuming for all of the black detail but not particularly difficult. I chose a grey base as I’m a little obsessed with grey at the moment; I think about a quarter of the nail varnishes I currently own are just different shades of grey…

Silver Nail Art

A bit of a random stripy design this week. I really like my new purple grey nail varnish and it goes well with the silver (although the image doesn’t do it justice, as is often the case).

Circuit Board Nail Art

image

Using Miss Sporty in dark green (although it looks VERY blue in the photo), and Models Own nail art pens in silver and gold.

A friend sent me a link to some amazing circuit board nail art and I decided to try my own. Looks far better in real life than it does in the picture. Sigh. I love this nail art and am definitely going to try it again.

Snowman Nail Art

Using Barry M in Blueberry Ice Cream, Models Own in Thunder & Lightning and Snow White, Models Own nail art pens in white and black, and Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Stripe & Sparkle in red.

My first Christmas nail art. I’ve seen several people with this design; mine is a little rough around the edges. I quite like the combination of Thunder & Lightning and Blueberry Ice Cream for the sky.

Grey Nail Art

Wanted to try a new grey nail varnish this week, and the stripes are a really simple and easy addition.
